10-2-10 Southwick Bike Trail

Spotted licence plate above on the way to the Southwick Bike Trail with Judy. Miller Rd. in Southwick MA. has plenty of parking for trip to Westfield MA. or to Avon CT. We decided to go south toward CT.
Level bike path makes for an easy trek. Turtles on a log had us stop for a look.

We came to a break in the trail that had us cross RT20. Above sign is a stop that ive been wanting to look into for sometime, todays the day.

Lot of different landscapes on this trail that runs twenty three miles to Avon from Southwick.

New top put on this old railroad trussle.

Really nice level paved path. Judy and I had a great time, glad we packed a lunch.

We rode Eight and a half miles before turning back. lots of turtles here today in the water and on the path.

Not far from where we parked is a homeowner that set up a cooler on the honor system full of water. On our return trip we met the owner and Stanley, a four year old pet turkey.
