6-28-10

Driving through Bridgeport CT. to find tornado damage just off 95.
Old guy in highway traffic bummin on the way to the GW bridge.
Delivery done heading home found this guy driving through traffic. People leaning on their horns and pointing to his roof. He was a delivery driver for a restaurant and was probably fed up with the sign. Half mile down the road brought a new group of would be Samaritans to point out the bag on his roof, it was fun for me. Not sure if this is a foolish sign or great for the reaction it brought out in people to help out or "read what that says". If this restaurant thing doesn't work out I would hope that this entrepreneur doesn't open child care with this same kind of advertisement. IS THAT A BABY CARRIER ON THE ROOF OF THAT CAR???!!!

Convenience store with my favorite place to eat in town. Buffet is sold by the pound, everything is the freshest it can be. Had to show Mom this place and maybe buy a pack off gum or something. The gum thing didn't work out, we had to sample a few items.

Mom and I decided on the wine tasting. $7.00 got you six different shot sized samples and an etched glass to take home. Good way to start here before you buy a wine you may not like. Mom bought a bottle of Cayuga and I bought the Epiphany Reserve.
Lots of tables outside and in and self brought picnics are encouraged.

Good neighbors

New England ingenuity has always made me stop and pay attention. Colonialist suffered hardship beyond what many today could endure. Ive driven and worked through out the northeast and have enjoyed the area for its rich history. With all that said and put aside I have a story from one such resident. A neighbor can only be as good as leaving his other neighbors alone to have their privacy. The saying good fences make good neighbors has lasted this long for a reason. So a neighbors dog went into a second party's yard and shit all over it. Said neighbor kindly asked if he would be so kind to stop his dog from doing so or pick up after him. After some time passed and nothing was done about said crapper an idea that made me want to sell this product just for the smile it brought to my face on hearing this tale. The owner of the defiled yard poured bacon grease over every dog log that lay on his property. The next day that dog picked up every bit he had left behind.
