Thanksgiving 11-26-9

Started the day by sleeping late to warm up to morning football.
This could be the end of this tradition with the raiders moving to new division next year.

Good crowd here today with cars lining streets and businesses around field.



Lets eat, final score had the raiders on top 28 to 8.

Getting to moms it was time to pull the plastic of the finely prepped plates.



Today's turkey was 22 pounds and perfect.
Judy and jess playing after dinner. We all sat around drinking wine digesting for hours, it was a good day.

Took mom along for the ride to visit another massive church of this city.

Construction on the terrace didn't allow us best view of the city. Little foggy today and grounds not in bloom so we will have to come again.
Huge basilica with smaller chapel in this building along with tomb of Brother Andre.
Lots of escalators, don't even thing about sliding down this one.

Camera couldn't really do justice to the grandness of basilica but snapped these of stain glass.

Really a nice spot this man left for me and mom to visit today. Ground outside well landscaped but put away for oncoming Canadian winter.

On the way to work today noticed another building was being cleared for progress.

Cooling system leak

Replaced water pump on my vehicle this weekend hoping to stop waking up to puddle under said vehicle. Two days after replacement the puddle returned. After 230000+miles it needed replacing anyhow. Below is what $265 dollar radiator hoses look like.

Looks like another day off, this time at home. Caught this guy but think he spotted camera in the window.

11-16-9 Boston Ma.

Drove mom to Boston this morning to get some paper work processed.
We parked and walked ten blocks to appointment with time to spare.
After two and a half hours with helpful bureaucrat we were free to roam about the city.




Friend mike was a street vendor for years, wonder if this guys with same group.
Turned into common headed toward Quincy market.


This turned out to be a fine day for a tour of bean town. Spotted lots of well fed squirrels.

Try keepin up with this lady.
Ice skating in the common will be coming soon as cold weather does.

Climbed Beacon hill to see where all the magic happens.


Old and new city halls are very different with the one below looking like its from a Borg ship out of Star Trek.

We made it to souvenir central in this town, let the merchandising begin.



Here was what I was into, Lobster mac and cheese or Scallops wrapped in bacon. I chose the later, damn good heart stopping platter. Ill be back for that mac n cheese.

We had a great time walking around today, not crowded good weather and no rush on being anywhere in particular.


Back to where we started we got the car and were out of town beating rush hour.
