This place had me remembering Sunday drives to visit family when I was young. My step father would bring us to visit his parents whose father was superintendent of water works. He lived on site at West Parish Filters on Granville rd in Westfield MA. behind Stanley park. House was right out of Norman Rockwell painting with stairway that led to a knotty pine Attic. We rode toy dump trucks and bikes that were antiques back then, down hills without helmet or pads of any kind. It was the coolest thing being in a big municipality like that wish I could get a tour of the place today.

Sun came out Sunday its been a cool weekend off to the beach for some site seeing.

Train and boat rides depart this boardwalk along with food and shopping diversions.

Nice old homes on the lake across from touristy trappings. The vets have the best with canons on the lawn.

Have usually seen Mount Washington from other parts of lake. Here boats coming back to pier and looks like its almost on shore.


All this seen from rock ledge watching boats parade past all day long, good way to spend a summer.
