12-12-10 Christmas Cookies
Joined Judy and Family on making their traditional Christmas cookies today.
Lots of candied fruits in this batter.
Four generations under one roof with a common cause, even cats and dogs did their part.
Even with twins on the way, the cookies must go through.
I managed to sneak a picture of the secret recipe.

12-12-10 Christmas Cookies
With the batter all mixed and fresh cookie sheets it was time to get rolling.
It didn't take long before we had sheets ready for the oven.
Then we waited.
Next step decorating.
Like snow flakes not one match in the lot.
Quality control has tested the product and we got the thumbs up.

12-5-10 Manhattan New York, NY
Hoped a train to New York today out of New Haven.

Metro brought us into Grand Central Station, could have spent the day here taking pictures. Leaving the building we realized we weren't in Connecticut anymore.
Found the first vendor with roasted chestnuts and scratched that one off the list. Four dollars for a bag of about a dozen, good stuff. Judy said they tasted like baked potatoes.
Lots of landmarks to see here.
Gotta bring Amanda back here for some shopping on Canal St.
This little girl was very happy with her new hat.

12-2-10
Run to Canada had me waking up in the E250 INN warm and dry, sleeping bag test passed. I hoped to find snow last night but stopped 50 miles short of Buffalo. Glad I did because if I had stayed at this rest stop a shovel may have been needed to start the day.

Looks like they are having the same problems we are.
Crossing the border to see I90 west still closed.
I90 East a winter wonderland, glad to have the heater fixed in the van.
